Getting married in the Zoo: An adventurous wedding at De Apenheul

On a bright September day in 2023, a group of friends and family gathered at the unique wedding location: De Apenheul . The bride and groom, a young and adventurous couple , were about to celebrate one of the most special days of their lives. The bride, originally from America, had her family and dear friends flown in for this special occasion, to marry the love of her life.


The setting at De Apenheul added a touch of playfulness and natural beauty to the celebration. Guests were welcomed in the beautiful green Monkey Park in Apeldoorn. The sound of the monkeys in the background added a unique and lively touch to the atmosphere.

The ceremony and sharing vows at the wedding

The ceremony took place amid the beautiful surroundings of the monkey park, under an arch decorated with flowers. The bride beamed in her elegant dress, while the groom stood proudly by her side. The vows were said with emotion and sincerity , as friends and family looked on with a mix of joy and emotion.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a great tour of the park, where the guides explained everything about the different types of monkeys that live in the park. The bridal couple took the time to create a unique photo reportage among the monkeys together with the photographer.

The evening ended with a delicious dinner, where the dance floor was opened by the bridal couple, the father of the bride and the mother of the groom. It was a celebration that not only emphasized the love between the bridal couple, but also the connection between family and friends from all over the world.
