Day in the life reportages for families and couples
Welcome to Sher Takes Care, where I believe in capturing the true happiness that lies in the small moments of everyday life. My Home story, "Day in the Life" reportages, offer a unique opportunity to capture the true essence of your family or relationship, without the pressure of posed photos.
It’s Sher, your storytelling family photographer & couple photographer
It's Sherine from Sher Takes Care here, your storytelling photographer based in the Netherlands and available worldwide. Preferably always outdoors, in the woods or among the mountains. Connecting with beautiful people surrounding me and warmed by a nice crackling campfire.
Why Day in the life reportages?
For me, life is all about the moments you treasure - your kids' smiles at breakfast, the spontaneous hugs between you and your partner while cooking, the adventures in the backyard you never want to forget. Home story reportages capture exactly these moments so that you can cherish them forever. Because exactly these moments are the mirror of your love/family. These are the images that are worth the most years later, because they are so close to your reality.
What can you expect from a Day in the life photographer?
Home story reportages are not typical photo shoots. I follow your family or you and your partner throughout the day, documenting the small and big moments that give life color, warmth and freedom. From breakfast to bedtime, choose a part of the day or the whole day, I am there to capture the real emotions and interactions, without interfering with your story.
Experience life as it really is, captured in beautiful images that will last a lifetime. I am your partner in capturing your beauty and the feel of everyday moments, so you can cherish them for years to come.

FAQ
What is a day in the life reportage?
A pure and storytelling photo reportage that reveals your personalities, connections and patterns. Photos that become more valuable with each passing day. Photos in which you see yourselves and will always recognize yourselves, because it is real and not posed.
Do we have to pose during a photo shoot?
No. That's a short answer isn't it? During a Home Story session you are mainly doing your own thing and after a while you won't even notice that there is a camera around. This is exactly why I can capture the moments that are so “ordinary” for you, but will be priceless for later.
What are the options for prints, albums & photo products?
Over the past few years I have created a nice selection of high-quality suppliers. From cool prints in beautiful frames or printed on a special material to storytelling albums that really take you back in time. After the shoot, I deliver the photos in an online gallery and together we look at options for your physical memories.
What are fun activities to do for capturing our Home Story?
This could really be anything. Above all, remember that the “activity” fits you guys. Also, don't think of it as something really big or fancy. It can literally be a Wednesday afternoon at home on the couch or a Sunday breakfast with a walk through the park. In fact, the small moments are the most valuable where the most extraordinary connections and patterns achieve the light of day. Find more tips for your home story reportage here!
How do you make sure everyone is together in the photo?
The entire reportage creates the story of you. Your own authentic story. Sometimes the dad will be in the photo with the daughter, sometimes just with the dog and other times with mom and the two sons. The combinations will differ in endlessness, it's just what moment captures the frame. Since it can still be very valuable, I always make sure there is one family photo at the end with everyone in it. You just want one like that, just to be sure. So I lovingly take those, in my documentary way. Just like you can see with this Home Story reportage.
